Aboriginal people have lived in Tasmania for at least 35,000 years and the Larmairremener tabelti is an aboriginal cultural walk at Lake St Clair (Leeawuleena) which recognises the Larmairremener, the indigenous people of this region. Known as the Big River Tribe, these people held out to be the last to be transported to an outlying concentration camp - Wybalenna on Flinders Island. Terrible, but true.
